UCKG is one of the two of ACBBA’S ‘faith’ members; the UCKG was founded in 1977 in Brazil. It is a registered charity and Christian spiritual centre with activities in over 90 countries. UCKG Training Centre was set up as an arm of the UCKG Help Centre in 2000. The purpose of the Centre is to provide vocational training and related support services for local residents, with particular emphasis on those who are at the greatest risk of exclusion from the labour market. These include people who are long-term unemployed, women returnees, lone parents, unachieved school leavers, people without work skills or confidence, people whose first language is not English, members of ethnic minorities, and ex offenders lacking job skills.
