How we developed it

The development of these resource materials is based on:

• One to one interviews with a number of community based business advisers working in Camden, Islington, Lewisham and the east London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest and Hackney;
• Desk research and literature searches on business advice;
• Case study interviews with clients who are using community based business advice services; and
• A Business Adviser focus group to test the resource.
• The work was undertaken by a team of consultants commissioned by Quaker Social Action as part of the Europe-wide Supporting Inclusion in Enterprise Development (SIED) project.
