Role of Business AdviserSetting up a business is both daunting and exhilarating. You will be there to help your client shape her ideas into a business plan, work through the challenges of finding accessible and affordable childcare, identify finance for her business development and, most importantly, enable your client through fear of failure, setbacks and other knocks to her confidence. The approach that underpins all community-based business advice applies here. It needs to be holistic, person-centred and empathetic. Women are more inclined to seek business support for their start-up business than men, 70 percent as compared to 64 percent respectively. You may find that you will have a greater number of female than male clients.
